Send large attachment files on Gmail (upto 25MB)

Gmail has quietly bumped up maximum size of attachment files that can be sent with email. As against 10MB attachment files, now you can attach and send attachment files upto 25MB. However, receiver of your email with large attachment email should be Gmail instead of small attachment size supported email services like Yahoo Mail.

Here is the official line, “… With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size. Please note that you may not be able to send larger attachments to contacts who use otheremail services with smaller attachment limits. If your attachment bounces, you should invite them to Gmail.”

As pointed by GOS Blog, it is recommended to use basic uploader instead of Flash uploaded while trying to upload and share large attachment files. This for sure is welcome news for all Gmail users. Now share even bigger attachment emails on Gmail.
